Maison Lancel was originally set out by Angela Lancel in 1876 as a smoking accessory shop close to Opera Garnier in Paris. Soon, she turned her attention to creating deluxe leather accessories for women and decorative objects.

One of the most famous creations of Lancel was Elsa by Lancel, also known as the Bucket bag, who sold millions of copies. Brigitte Bardot and Isabelle Adjani were brand ambassadors and muses for some of the most popular creations of Lancel, the Bardot and Adjani models being best sellers in the last decade.

The boutique In Bucharest is located on Calea Victoriei, the shopping avenue of the Romanian capital.  The shop temporarily hosts a vintage exhibition where you can admire three of the first original Lancel purses designed by Angela Lancel herself.
